Benvenuti agli archivi del Monte San Martino Trust. Gli archivi del Trust comprendono le storie personali di militari alleati trasferiti in Italia come prigionieri di guerra durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale dopo essere stati catturati soprattutto nel Nordafrica. Molti di quei militari riuscirono a fuggire e il Monte San Martino Trust è stato creato per commemorare loro e le famiglie italiane che li aiutarono.

Thousands of hours spent transcribing



English and Italian collaborators have transcribed hundreds of handwritten, typewritten and computerised memorials by the military themselves and, in some cases, by their relatives. Some were written during the imprisonment, some just after the escape and some years later and donated to the Trust.
